AmigaWorld’s Dyikunlu thanks Datu Sarip Agwak, PSTMO

IN BEHALF of the management and staff of Amigaworld and Pestib Wok, I would like to express our profound gratitude to Datu Sarip Agwak and his accomplices in the Public Safety and Traffic Mismanagement Office (PSTMO) for their generosity that has led to sharp jump in sales of business establishments and our tenants since public transport local route plan (PTLRP).


Thank you very much for crafting the traffic design that perfectly fits in our short and long term business plans.


Before, only two public utility Jeep (PUJ) routes traversed the heart of Amigaworld and Pestib Wok — Mandurriao - Iloilo via SM and San Miguel - Jaro. Three other routes - Jaro - Mandurriao, Leon - Jaro and Alimodian - Jaro passed but only through its vicinity. 


Since PTLRP was enforced on June 6, 2022 there are now countless - ha ha ha! Ginahimo na nila among lunar terminal o “hub”! May Aleosan (Alimodian, Leon and San Miguel) jeepneys, may vans pa gid; may Sooc - Hibao-an, Iloilo - Hibao-an kag Jaro - Hibao-an;


The rest are making Amigaworld - Pestib Wok “hub” which is impakto, este, de facto terminal. May Tagbak - Pestib Wok; La Paz - Pestib Wok; Mahon - Pestib Wok; Sooc - Villa - Pestib Wok - Hibao-an; Ungka - Pestib Wok. Ano pa?


Mga vans kag Ceres buses pa halin Mohon - Oton galusot man sa Mohon!


Ang Atria nga dira ang Ateneo, SNR, Hotels, three hospitals, kag dugang pa nga mga restaurants kag tinda halin dira angot sa Smallvile asta Aksyon Radyo, nawad-an PUJ route. 


We are beri  hapi because tills of our businesses and our tenants’ are busy and humming most of the time. 


This PTLRP is not designed for commuters’s convenience but to fleece them and delay their travel. 


Kun nahil-an mga sumalakay bangod na-istap ang Jaro Plaza - Lapaz Plaza route wala tamon ti labot. Kun Ginasukot sila tag-P20 sa trisikel kay wala na jeep nga diez lang plete, wara tamon labot!


Kun gawalangal commuters sa Lapuz, Lapaz, wara tamon it labot! Sakay tanda trisikol, eh. Gamay man lang diperensya.


Kun nagdoble plete kang commuters halin Oton, Pavia, Leganes, San Miguel, wara tamon labot!


Kung gakapoto-photo ya vendors sa sa mercados publicos kang Jaro kag Super, wara tamon labot.


Kun mga sumalakay halin Baluarte, indi na kalab-ot sa Kapitolyo kag The Atrium Supermart, wara tamon it labot!


Tenks gid, Datu Sarip Agwak and accomplices in the PSTMO! You truly favored AmigaWorld and Pestib Wok.


Sang-una, mga Hibao-an dyip halin Jaro galabay lang: subong halin sa Taft North, ma-detour sila sa wala for one kilometer kag mag-load/unload past Pestibwok then u-turn back before proceeding to Mandurriao and Hibao-an. 


Bahala na kun ma-delay biyahe basta madugangan lang ginansya ta.


Amo man ran mga dyip halin Molo to Hibao-an: they don’t just traverse through the Amigaworld junction as they used to but must detour to the right and proceed for more than two kilometers to the terminal then u-turn towards Pestib Wok to load/unload commuters.


Gawiit mga sumalakay hay naawat biyahe nanda it mga trenta minutos. Pay, wara kami labot.


So once again, tenk yu Datu Sarip Agwak and accomplices for job well done.

Babas, orphaned of both parents and cared for by his paternal  lolo   eked out a living on weekends and holidays as cargador , carrying luggage of passengers of vessels docking on the wharf of Estancia, Iloilo. Kalampay getting scarce and costly

Today a kilo of kalampay fetches P80 to P140, at par with other fishes. This freshwater crab was almost free before. Photo above shows a freshly broiled crab. Kalampay" for sale was almost unheard of 40 years ago. The freshwater crab teemed in Iloilo rivers and people caught it for free. Today, it fetches the minimum P80 per kilo. Surprisingly, Iloilo River, dubbed the country's biggest septic tank after Pasig River, is still home to crabs and shrimps that Ilonggos consume. Mention the word today to the young generation and they would stare at you bewildered. "Kalampay? Ano ra man? (Kalampay? What's that.)" They more they would stare at you blankly if you asked them what "katang" and "baringay" are. The usage of term is getting scarcer like the fate of kalampay. "Katang" is a juvenile kalampay, the size a half thumb while "baringay" are botton size ones that migrate inland from the sea where they are spawned.

Broad daylight robbery by Treñas and caboodle

    Mayor Jerry Treñas and his caboodle in the mass disinformation industry are yelping accolades and jumping in glee at nothing but how good, bright and promising the fates of the Iloilo Terminal Market and Iloilo Central Market would be under his watch. Better still, miswatch.      "Public-Private Partnership" kuno; "renovation" kuno, "progress" pa gid, lapdogs in the  mainstream mass disinformation industry oogle.      What they're deliberately hiding is the obvious, that the deal is nothing but a "lease contract", a heavily lopsided one, that hands over for a song two prime real estate properties of Iloilo City taxpayers to SM Holdings, owner of the most number and biggest of malls in the Philippines.      It's neither PPP nor renovation but a broad daylight robbery where Treñas surrenders to SM the ownership of the "Central" and "Super" to SM for 50 years, renewable thereafter at SM's caprice.      By merely c
